John was born and raised in Banning Calif. He started working construction in the Coachella Valley during summers while in high school. After graduation he attended Cal Poly Pomona for a semester before choosing to pursue a career in construction. He married his wife Emma in 1982 and together they have four sons. John and his family moved to the Coachella Valley in 1991 and have been active in the communities holding several different boards and coaching positions in youth sports. John has worked in the construction industry for the past 25 years and was part of Tandem West Group from 1999 till 2006 when SelectBuild purchased the Group. John currently is General Manager for the SelectBuild Southern Calif. Framing Division in Indio. John has been a board member with the DCA for the past 5 years and Vice President for the past year.
