GATE is a steering committee of GLIC, chaired by Ken Wood of Elms Equipment Rentals. The soul purpose of the committee is to address trucking related issues in the Coachella Valley. With the growth and ever changing truck routes throughout the Coachella Valley it has become an issue of “how” and “where” to move heavy equipment around the different roads across the Valley. The focus of the GATE committee is to educate, inform and work with local representatives. They have made great strides in addressing this important issue with the help of Assemblywoman Bonnie Garcia, Construction Industry Transportation Consultant, Gregory D. Dineen and the Heavy Equipment Rental Organization (HERO). All of these individuals and associations deserve our thanks.
